What you can expect from Alvin Pun and what we ask of you when you join a workshop, submit a manuscript, or browse the exercise library.
Alvin Pun provides online writing workshops, manuscript feedback sessions, and a digital library of exercises focused on short fiction and flash narratives. All materials are delivered digitally through the studio's course platform and email. We do not offer legal, financial, or publishing agency services, and no part of the studio acts as an agent on your behalf.
You agree to submit only your own original work for feedback and to respect the confidentiality of fellow cohort members. Manuscripts shared in workshops remain your property, and you are responsible for keeping copies of your drafts. We ask that you attend scheduled sessions on time and complete exercises at a pace that suits your own writing routine.
Feedback from the studio reflects the editorial judgment of our instructors and is intended to help you revise. It is not a guarantee of publication, acceptance by any literary magazine, or a specific level of commercial success. We aim to give clear, actionable notes, but final decisions about your manuscript rest with you.
Course materials, exercises, and written guides provided by the studio are protected by copyright and are for your personal use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish these materials without written permission. Your own stories and drafts remain yours, and the studio claims no ownership over the work you create during a course.
The studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of course materials, missed sessions, or technical interruptions to the learning platform. Our total liability for any claim related to a course or feedback session is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
You may leave a course at any time by contacting us at info@alvinpun.com. The studio reserves the right to update these terms as courses evolve, and we will notify participants of material changes by email. Continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For questions about these terms, write to the same address.
